Free-standing lace owl embroidery design

You can string the beads onto the threads in two ways: you can tie two adjacent threads together with the beads, or you can simply decorate each thread with beads one by one. Whether you choose to interweave adjacent threads with delicate beads or simply decorate the threads, the result will be a masterpiece that reflects your unique style.

The little stitches on the long thread serve as a guide for adorning the owl with beads, ensuring a flawless and enchanting finish. Once you've pulled it through, the pearl won't slide back. A bead with a hole diameter of 1 mm is required for single stringing, and a bead with a hole diameter of 2 mm for double stringing. If you want to use larger beads, you can string a smaller one directly under the larger bead.

The height of the finished product is 16 cm ( 6,29") but it is possible to embroider it using a 4×4 hoop!

For this FSL machine embroidery design, we recommend that the bobbin thread matches the color of the first thread.

You have to embroider it on a water soluble material. ( We worked on two layers SOLVY FABRIC water soluble material. ) Be sure to embroider in the smallest hoop possible. This is important, because it will ensure the embroidery stays tight.

When you have finished embroidering, remove the water soluble material from the frame and cut off the embroidery.
Soak the embroidery you’ve made in water to dissolve the water soluble material. 

You have to wash the pearl strings very well so that there isn't too much water soluble material left behind. Then they become narrower and easier to thread.

Then squeeze out the water and let it dry. Finally, iron over the back side.
